    Most programmers I know have some kind of other hobby - almost always something involving building or fixing tangible objects. In my case, it's usually a mix of mechanical work (small engines, bikes, that kind of thing), and carpentry (which I don't do of late because I live in an apartment). Music also shows up in a lot of people, and that applies to me too.
